U.S. federal agencies have been directed to prepare a comprehensive workforce program as part of President Donald Trump’s administration efficiency initiative, according to a memo issued by senior administration officials on Wednesday.
The document was signed and seen by AFP’s management and budget directors Russell Vorge and Russell Vorge, and outlines a two-phase approach to Trump’s order to implement a “mass reduction” in the federal government.
“The federal government is expensive, inefficient and deeply debt-ridden,” Vought said in the memorandum.
“The tax funds are sneakily funded unnecessary, unnecessary programs that benefit radical interest groups while hurting hard-working American citizens.”
The memorandum directs agencies to “work with their government efficiency ministry (or threshold) team.”
These are representatives of Elon Musk’s operating division, who Trump has given unrestricted authority to find ways to cut spending and overhaul the administration.
Musk, the world’s richest man, repeatedly warned that the United States would “go bankrupt” without cutting it.
Currently, most of the Trump administration’s layoffs are targeted at probation workers – a term used for freshly hired or promoted civil servants who have fewer protections than ordinary civil servants.
There is also a quote for employees that has now passed eight months’ salary or risk of being fired in later phase-outs.
The White House said more than 65,000 federal employees have signed the Office of Personnel Management for the acquisition.
Vight’s memo was a tough nationalist who believed federal civil servants were the political operators of Democrats and began the formal process of expanding cuts to more than 2 million federal workers.
According to the memorandum, federal agencies must submit their initial emission reduction plans by March 13 and then conduct more comprehensive restructuring proposals by April 14.
The directive implements Trump’s February 11 executive order, which calls for “a critical shift in the federal bureaucracy.”
The agency was told to consolidate duplicate organizational units, reduce management, close or merge regional offices and reduce reliance on contractors.
In the recommended approach to staff cuts, during government shutdowns, due to failure to pass the Congressional budget, “normally not designated as an indispensable position”.
The role of law enforcement, national security, military and postal services, as well as all political appointees and the White House are exempt.
