The case has been registered against eight Badohi’s employees, including a zoning official (SDO) and a junior engineer (JE) for issuing an inflatable electricity bill, harassing a woman and being subjected to an incident on her house Harassment Police said Tuesday that there was an excuse to disconnect the power.
Police Commissioner (SP) Abhimanyu Mangalik said Sajid Ali (44) from Ghosia Nagar, Oraya district, had filed a petition in the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) on July 22, 2024.
After the hearing, CJM Sabiha Khatoon on Tuesday directed the case against Sdo Deepak Patel, Je Manish Singh, as well as department employees Dharmendra, Sumit Patel, Manoj Kumar, Balmeet, Manoj Rai and Ajay Kumar.
According to a court order, cases have been conducted against eight government employees, including allegations of deception, harassment and criminal intimidation, adding that investigations are under investigation.
According to Ali’s petition, the defendant allegedly received Rs 7,500 on December 10, 2019 to provide power connections to his store, but no meter was installed.
SP cited the complaint and later, on December 24, 2020, he was registered on suspicion of theft and issued him a bill of Rs 1,32,470.
Ali further claimed that on the same day, Deepak, Sumit and Manish forced into his house to disconnect power, harass his wife, and destroy the property.
When his wife sent an alarm, the local woman intervened and rescued her, he claimed.
