External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met former Icelandic President and Arctic Circle Chairman Olafur Ragnar Grimsson on Thursday to discuss activities in the Arctic Circle.

Earlir, on the occasion of the New Year, the External Affairs Minister shared a year-end video on A year of commitment.
Jaishankar wished the new year to be a firm commitment to “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, or the world is one family.
EAM Jaishankar included in his post several meetings, speeches and his swearing-in after the Lok Sabha elections. These include his meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, speeches at the Doha Forum and the Quad summit.
On the same day, Jaishankar met with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, his first diplomatic event this year.
Jaishankar said Al Thani and he reviewed bilateral cooperation.

On December 31, EAM Jaishankar commemorated the Quad’s 20th anniversary, highlighting its progress from providing a “shared response” to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami to “an important force for stability, progress and prosperity” in the Indo-Pacific region.
He further reiterated India’s commitment to work with Australia, Japan and the United States to meet the needs of the region.
Jaishankar shared a post on
