External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar called on Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Wednesday to discuss ways to deepen the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.

During the meeting, Jaishankar also conveyed Prime Minister Modi’s greetings to Albanese. The minister will pay an official visit to Australia from November 3 to 7.

“Delighted to visit Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Canberra today. Convey warm greetings from Prime Minister @narendramodi. Value his guidance on deepening India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership,” Jaishankar wrote on X.

Earlier, Jaishankar met with Peter Dutton, leader of the Australian Liberal Party.
“We share a common view on global issues and appreciate his support for our bilateral relations,” Jaishankar said after meeting Dutton. He also met New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters in Canberra .

“Education, technology, agriculture, science and technology and people-to-people relations were discussed. Views were also exchanged on Indo-Pacific and global issues,” Jaishankar said during his meeting with Peters.

Holiday deals

Jaishankar also met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
