“e-shram – A “one-stop” solution requires the integration of different social security plans on a single portal. This allows unorganized workers registered on ESHRAM to access the social security plans and see the benefits they have provided so far through E-SHRAM.

So far, 13 different central ministries/departments have been formed with Havere, including Pradhan Mantri Street suppliers Atmanirbhar Nidhi (PM-Swanidhi), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), National Family Welfare Plan (NFBS), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-gramin (PMay-G), Ayushman Bharat.

To enhance accessibility of the E-SHRAM portal, the Ministry of Labor and Employment launched a multilingual feature on the E-SHRAM portal on January 7 using the Bhashini platform. In a written reply, the Minister said that this enhancement now enables workers to interact with the E-SHRAM portal in 22 Indian languages, thereby increasing accessibility and promoting inclusion for all.

To make ESHRAM and related services, which are easily accessible to non-organized workers, the ministry launched the E-SHRAM mobile application on February 24. This application provides real-time access to benefits plans integrated with E-SHRAM, significantly improving accessibility and convenience.

The Ministry’s steps to raise awareness of unorganized workers include regular review meetings with states and regular meetings with Common Services Center (CSC).

The E-SHRAM portal also integrates with National Career Services (NCS) and Skill India Digital Portal to provide employment and skills opportunities. In addition, to promote admission to pension programs, E-SHRAM is fused with Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandan (PMSYM).

The minister added that to provide one-stop search and discovery for government programs, E-SHRAM is integrated with the Myscheme Portal and SMS movements.

The Ministry launched the E-SHRAM portal (ESHRAM.GOV.IN) on August 26, 2021 to create a comprehensive national database (NDUW) with Aadhaar seeds. The E-SHRAM portal is designed to register and support unorganized workers through a self-advocacy basis for providing a universal account (UAN).
