Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said on Sunday that officials from the income and forest department are conducting an investigation to determine the extent of land proposed to be submerged near Kanakapura due to Mekedatu’s balanced reservoir project.
“The offices of the Mekedatu project have been established. Income and Forest officials are conducting a survey to determine the land that will be submerged. He said on Bhoohalli-Hoskere, near Kana Capra, after laying the foundation for the development project, “The lives of people are being improved are being improved for improving people’s lives. ”
He said he had brought Rs 4 billion to the Kanna Capra Parliamentary Constituency. “If I get a big grant at once, representatives from other constituencies may question it. The grant will be staged to satisfy people’s wishes. “Here here alone, the Ministry of Water Resources has made a value of about Rs 250 crore.” ”
Mr Shivakumar said he would work to fill as many tanks as possible, which will be carried out in stages during the current regime. “I’m glad that the project fills 21 lakes in the area from Sangama,” he said after laying the cornerstone for the project near Sangama. He also laid the foundation for the construction of a series of check dams to allow the flow of water into Arkavati.
The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated his appeal to people not to sell land and not to raise land because of the rise in land prices. Since silk imported from China has dropped, the prices of mulberry trees growing locally have risen. “That’s why you shouldn’t sell your land. You’re going to get a good price,” he said.
