New Delhi: A senior official said the aviation watchdog DGCA will detect a tail strike involving the Indigo A321 aircraft at Chennai Airport on March 8.

Indigo said on Sunday that the Airbus A321 aircraft hit the runway during landing at Chennai Airport.

“The aircraft is rooted and will resume the necessary repairs and cleaning,” the airline said in a statement.

Senior officials from the Civil Aviation Administration (DGCA) said the incident is being investigated.

No more details can be determined immediately.

Indigo also regrets the subsequent cancellation after the plane is grounded, causing inconvenience to passengers.
