Security has been strengthened in more than 100 locations in the national capital ahead of Hawley Festival and Ramzan’s Friday prayers, an official said Monday.
The upcoming Holi festival coincides with Friday prayers during the Holy Month of Ramzan.
“No one will violate the law and order situations due to the upcoming Holi Festival and Friday prayers,” a senior police officer said.
The official said we have identified more than 100 locations in Delhi and we will deploy additional police forces with the paramilitary forces.
Police sources say some antisocial elements may attempt to create unrest during coincidental celebrations. Therefore, additional police forces will be deployed in vulnerable places.

Prior to Holi and Friday prayers, senior police will meet with the local peace commission to promote public harmony and stop rumors from spreading.
Police said the drones will be used for surveillance and take strict action against those who are trying to incite religious or public tensions.
Another senior police officer said officers wearing plain clothes would be deployed for additional surveillance. These officials will monitor any suspicious activities to ensure timely intervention.
He added: “The Delhi police will take strict action against those who are trying to undermine the peace. Special attention will be paid to the university and dormitory areas, and in the past few years, colorful incidents in water balloons and public places have been reported. If any rogue behavior will cause public distress, police intervention will be followed immediately.”
