Under Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana, non-taxpaying women below 60 years of age will get $1,000 per month. The plan was announced in March this year but failed to roll out. The Sanjeevani scheme announced by Arvind Kejriwal last week promises free treatment in government and private hospitals for all Delhi voters aged 60 and above.

“Registration for the scheme will begin tomorrow (Monday). No one has to go anywhere or queue; our volunteers will come to your home and complete the registration,” Kejriwal said at a press conference on Sunday. Those wishing to register will need to produce a voter ID card as proof of residence.

Kejriwal said that apart from party workers, he would go door-to-door along with Delhi Chief Minister Atish and former Deputy Prime Minister Manish Sisodia to register people for the scheme.

According to reports, 3.5 million people may benefit from the Mahila Samman scheme and 1,000-1.5 million people may benefit from the Sanjeevani scheme.

Delhi assembly election dates 2025

Elections to the 70-member Delhi Assembly are expected to be held in February next year. The Election Commission of India has not yet announced a date. The term of the current Congress in Delhi will expire on February 23, 2025.
