D. Selvarajan will become Neytinkra’s Coadjutor Bishop in March.

D. Selvarajan’s dedication was announced earlier this month by the appointment of Coadjutor Bishop in the parish of Neyyathinkara, to be held on March 25.

The parish said in a statement Friday that the ceremony was planned to be held at the Neyyathinkara Municipal Stadium. Archbishop Thiruvananthapuram, Archbishop Thomas J. Netto, Neyyattinkara Bishop Vincent Samuel and Bishop Selvister Ponnumuthan of the Diocese of Punalur will preside over the ceremony.

Pope Francis appoints the priest. Selvarajan served as the Bishop of Coadjutor of Neyyattinkara on February 8 this year. Born on January 27, 1962 in Valiyavila, he studied philosophy and theology at St. Joseph’s Aluva, and received a license and doctorate in Canon Law from the University of Catholique de Louvain. On December 23, 1987, he was appointed as a pastor.
