Cusat students win prizes at National Intercollege Youth Day

Students at the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) won first place in the band song category at the recently concluded National Intercollege Youth Festival and second in the solo category in Western Music.

An event organized by the Indian University Association was held at Amit University in Noida.

Diya Anna Augustine, a third-year student in the School of Law Studies, won second place in various categories of Western music, repeating her achievements on the last festival. According to a newsletter published by S. Aparna Lakshaman, the University’s cultural coordinator, the CUSAT team achieved this feat under the guidance of Joseph Linton Daruja.

In the debate competition, final year MBA student Nada Ayesha and third-year student SS Nanda Kumar won third place.

Communication added that third-year students of the School of Engineering Ayisha and DS Vishnumaya won fourth place in the Elocution and Classical Dance competitions, respectively.
