“Please don’t be confused. The bill was established in 1978 and has been around for many years, although there are no rules. Now, the High Court has directed the state government to frame the rules and we are working on it. We will ensure that no such rules will violate or favor any a specific religion,” he said.
Khandu observed that following a particular religion is an individual choice and that the state has no effect. However, he said it is the responsibility of the state government and every member of the society to protect and protect the indigenous identity and rich cultural heritage of the indigenous community.
