A seven-year-old child has been killed and other children injured in a stabbing at a primary school in Croatia.
A teacher was also injured in a knife attack in Zagreb on Friday, the country’s health minister said. The attacker, a 19-year-old former student, was arrested at the scene, local media reported.
Photos showed police, ambulance crews and forensic teams outside the building.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said he was “shocked” by the incident at Preko primary school.
Two adults and five children were injured and are being treated in hospital, according to the Ministry of Health.
Health Minister Irena Herstick told reporters outside the children’s hospital that the attacker entered the school and stabbed staff and students.
