A war of words broke out between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress after a violent confrontation over an alleged physical altercation outside the Parliament building on Thursday. The Congress claimed that the ruling party was using this tactic to divert attention from the Adani issue and Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks about Ambedkar.
The BJP, on the other hand, said Rahul Gandhi was behaving like a thug and he started putting pressure there. Earlier, lawmakers from the BJP-led New Democratic Alliance and the India Bloc protested at the Parliament House and a confrontation ensued, with the saffron party leader saying two lawmakers were injured.
BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi claimed that he was injured when Rahul Gandhi pushed him. Sarangi claimed he was standing on the stairs when another MP fell on him, causing him head injuries.
Addressing a joint press conference with Congress President Mallikarjun Haq, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi accused ruling party lawmakers of deliberately hampering the opposition’s efforts to raise issues in Parliament.
“A few days before the parliament session, the Adani case emerged in the United States, and the PPP tried to prevent discussion of the case. The basic strategy of the PPP is that the Adani case should not be discussed; its strategy against Adani in the United States should be suppressed The main problem is that this issue should not be discussed in the House,” he said.
“We were going to the House and their MPs stood at the door and stopped us. The home minister should resign and apologize. The government wants to divert attention. The main problem is that Modi’s friend Adani has a case against him in the United States; he doesn’t want this Let’s discuss,” Rahul Gandhi further said.
Reacting to the Congress’s claims, BJP MP Shivraj Chouhan lashed out at the great old party and said Rahul Gandhi was behaving like a goon.
Union Minister Shivraj Chouhan said, “…Rahul Gandhi behaved like a thug. He started pushing and pushing there. Our senior MP Pratap Saran Pratap Sarangi fell and suffered serious head injuries. Aboriginal MP Phangnon Konyak, we are very distressed by the complaints she made to the Speaker.
Responding to a parliamentary press conference, Chouhan said Rahul Gandhi and Haq were expected to apologize, but they behaved arrogantly.
“Malikajun Haq and Rahul Gandhi just held a press conference. We thought they were going to apologize for what they did today. But they didn’t. I don’t understand why they held a press conference. Their The press conference showed their arrogance…I have but what he (Rahul Gandhi) did today is unimaginable in a civilized society…Today, when the BJP MP in Makad When Wa objected, Rahul Gandhi security personnel came there and asked them to use other space.
