BRS requires government to fill vacancy after notifying the Supreme Court subcategory

Hyderabad

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) claims that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy attempted to deceive the pre-determined caste by the classifications not in line with the commission appointed for that purpose, although his statement was that Telangana would be the first state in the country to retain subcategory to implement SCS in the country.

Former Deputy Chief Minister T. Rajaiah, former legislators M. Anand and G. Balaraju and party leader Praveen Kumar spoke here on Sunday (March 9, 2025) when the Supreme Court had made a 30-year ruling. However, the Telangana government, led by Mr. Revanth Reddy, attempted to fill the vacancy without implementing the SC classification.

They say the population of Madiga community alone is 33.333 billion, while Malas has a population of 150,000 in the state. However, Malas retains 5% of the reservation and 10% of the Madigas. Instead, they think Madigas should get 11%.

Meanwhile, senior party leader T. Harish Rao spoke separately. Mr Revanth Reddy said during the Mahila Shakti celebration held on Saturday (8 March 2025). The Chief Minister claimed that his government provided Rs 210,000 crore loans to women’s self-help groups in the first year of his reign.

He noted that the government is following the GO issued by the former BRS government, offering only interest-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh per set, while the standard only provides 20% loans to SHG will be eligible for an interest-free plan, and the remaining loans (if given) may attract a 12% interest burden.
