The union’s interior minister Amit Shah was slammed in a discussion on immigration and foreign bills during Lok Sabha’s speech, the Trinamore Congress government led by Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal. Shah said the bill would help curb illegal immigration and alleged that the TMC government is praising illegal infringers.
“Whether it is the infiltration of Bangladesh or the Rohingya, they used to enter India through Assam when they were in power in the Congress. Now they enter India through West Bangladesh under the TMC. Who issued their Aadhaar card, citizenship, all the Bangladesh people caught? Minister of the Interior.
Shah further claimed that despite repeated reminders, the Bangladesh government has not provided land for the 450km border fence along Bangladesh. “For the 450 km fence, I have written to the Bangladesh government and sent 10 reminders.
The Bangladesh government does not provide land. For the 450 km, the Home Secretary held seven meetings with the Chief Secretary of Bangladesh, but they did not give the fenced land. We need to erect fences where the ruling party cadres are to cause chaos and put forward religious slogans. The 450km fence is simply because the Bangladesh government is patrolling the infiltration. ”
Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking in discussions on immigration and foreign bills, issued an important statement in the defense of the bill on Thursday and said that to ensure national security it is important to know who, when and why we entered our country and how long they want to stay.
After three hours of debate, Shah said: “This is very important. The main problem is that immigration is not an isolated subject, but is directly or indirectly linked to various issues.”
He added: “The bill will ensure close monitoring of everyone who visits India, why they are visiting India and how long they want to stay in India. It is necessary to understand the details of every foreigner visiting India.”
He added: “I want to assure this country that we will get the latest information about every foreigner coming to our country.”
The interior minister clarified that the government will keep a close eye on those who pose a threat to India’s security.
“I welcome all those who want to visit India as tourists, education, do health care, develop, do business. But those who threaten the country, we will observe them carefully.”
