Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, MS Dhoni, Harsha Bhogle and Anil Kapoor were selected as the best choices to replace Amitabh Bachchan to replace Amitabh Bachchan as the next hosting of Kaun Banega Crorepati in a recent study.
Amitabh Bachchan serves as KBC host
The quiz-based TV game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) will be completed for 25 years on July 3, 2025. AmitabhBachchan has been hosting the show for the past 25 years, except for Shah Rukh Khan’s third season in 2007, which held more than 150 episodes in 2007.
According to several reports, this is Kaun Banega Crorepati’s last season, with Amitabh Bachchan as its host. The 82-year-old superstar expressed emotional farewell to the show in the final episode of KBC 15. He reportedly asked the channel to find his successor, but the channel failed to find a replacement for Bachchan, and he had to continue as the host of KBC 16. But, just like the season that is ongoing, the show has the longest airing, and it’s a new season.
The Indian Institute of Human Brands (IIHB) and Red Lab of Red Lab of Reddiffusion last week conducted a study in Hindi Heartland to see what viewers think of Amitabh as a replacement in KBC. The respondents to the study were 768 respondents with 408 men and 360 women.
Shah Rukh Khan was elected as Kaun Banega Crorepati’s next host with 63% of the vote. Surprisingly, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the second best option to get 51% of the vote. MS Dhoni, Harsha Bhogle and Anil Kapoor are the next three draft picks, with 37%, 32% and 15% of respondents in their favor. Interestingly, 42% of the responses said: “Amitabh Bachchan should continue until he can continue.”
Aamir Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Shashi Tharoor and Chetan Bhagat are also names chosen by the investigators. If Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 is Amitabh Bachchan’s last season, there is no official confirmation. We will have to wait for the last episode of the ongoing season and see the maker as the new owner.
