Hours after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput were injured during protests outside Parliament on Thursday over the BR Ambedkar brawl ,BJP MP Anurag Thakur said the party has lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police against opposition leader Rahul Gandhi for assault and sedition Year.
Talking to reporters, the BJP leaders said they have filed complaints under Sections 109, 115, 117, 125, 131 and 351.
“We have lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police accusing Rahul Gandhi of assault and sedition. We have mentioned in detail the incident that took place outside Makar Dwar today, where NDA MPs were protesting peacefully… We have lodged a complaint under Sections 109, 115 Complaints, 117, 125, 131 and 351.
The charges came after the NDA and India Bloc parties staged a protest in Parliament, which allegedly led to a scuffle and injuries to two BJP MPs, Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput.
Ajay Shukla, medical director of RML Hospital, told reporters that the two leaders suffered head injuries and were admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). He said Sarangi was losing a lot of blood.
“Examinations will be completed and treatment of symptoms has started. Due to head injuries both of them were admitted to the intensive care unit. Pratap Sarangi was bleeding profusely and had a deep wound. So, He had to be stitched up.
About Mukesh Rajput, he said the MP had fallen unconscious earlier. “Mukesh Rajput was unconscious. Now, he is conscious but he is feeling dizzy and anxious. His blood pressure is soaring,” he added.

Commenting on the protests against Home Minister Amit Shah, Anurag Thakur on Thursday said that the Nehru-Gandhi family has always disrespected BR Ambedkar.
He claimed that Jawaharlal Nehru conspired against Ambedkar, causing him to lose the election and eventually retire from politics.
“The Nehru-Gandhi family has always disrespected Ambedkar. Nehru himself conspired against Ambedkar, made him lose the election and forced him to quit politics. Three generations of Congress did not give Babasaheb Bharat Ra Turner.
What happened in Parliament on Thursday?
On December 19, Parliament witnessed simultaneous protests outside Parliament by Treasury and Opposition MPs. BJP MPs protested at the Parliament premises against the Congress party for “insulting” Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Meanwhile, members of the Indian Bloc, led by Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha, staged a protest at the Parliament House and demanded the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his remarks about Babasaheb Ambedkar.
