Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu set a three-year deadline to complete the development of greenfield capital Amaravati at an estimated cost of Rs 52,000 crore, while expressing commitment to transform Visakhapatnam into a financial hub and set up a high court .
Mr. Naidu on Saturday (October 19, 2024) launched the redevelopment works in the capital, starting with the unfinished G+7 building at Rayapudi where the headquarters of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (AP-CRDA) will be located, said, The previous government ruined Amaravati as part of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s vindictive politics between 2019 and 2024.
Amaravati Drone Summit 2024 carefully arranged
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP)-Jana Sena Party (JSP)-BJP alliance came to power with a stunning mandate and faced the daunting task of rebuilding Amaravati. Government coffers were empty and the ensuing financial crunch created a difficult situation.
Fortunately, the central government not only promised to support the development of Amaravati but also acted swiftly while the state government cautiously dealt with the situation with a meager budget.
After the formation of the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh, investor confidence was restored, and the World Bank and other lending institutions were willing to lend a helping hand.
Encouraged by this, the state government is stepping up efforts to develop Amaravati into one of the best cities in the world by formulating a plan with a futuristic vision similar to the Central Vista Project in New Delhi.
Besides, Mr. Naidu said the TDP government raised 34,241 acres of land from 29,881 farmers during 2014-19 and acquired around 4,300 acres of land. In addition, nearly 15,167 acres of government land has been provided for capital construction projects. All the efforts made by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government during that period were in vain.
The “Three Capitals” of Andhra Pradesh

Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana, Tadikonda MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar, Amaravati Development Corporation Chairman D. Lakshmi Parthasarathy, CRDA Commissioner Katamneni Bhaskar and Guntur District Magistrate S. Nagalakshmi were present.
