Air India launches Bengaluru-Heathrow flights from October 27

Air India has announced that it will launch daily direct flights between Bengaluru and London Heathrow from October 27.

The new flights will replace the Bangalore-London Gatwick route currently operated by Air India and increase the frequency between Bangalore and London from five flights per week to seven flights per week, a release said.

“This direct service will be operated using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, with 18 lie-flat beds in business class and 238 spacious seats in economy class, adding 3,584 inbound and outbound seats to London Heathrow Airport every week. Air India currently operates 31 flights per week to London Heathrow from Delhi and Mumbai. Air India will continue to operate 12 flights per week from Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa and Cochin. Flights from four Indian cities to London Gatwick.
