Labor and Factories Minister Vasamsetti Subhash on Sunday assured that commercial cultivation of fodder will be allowed on 350 acres of land along the Godavari river in Ramachandrapuram assembly constituency of BR Ambedkar Konaseema district.

Addressing budding entrepreneurs at a meeting here to identify sectors for establishment of micro, small and medium industries, Mr. Subhash said interested farmers will be encouraged to opt for government sites on 350 acres along the river Commercial feed is produced on the land. The meeting was hosted by the County Industrial Center.

“The dairy industry needs fodder and budding entrepreneurs can be advised to grow fodder. The state government will increase support for commercial cultivation of food and establishment of dairy units in the primary sector,” Mr. Subhash said.

Mr. Subhash claimed that micro and small units can be set up in BR Ambedkar Konaseema district to produce 15 value-added coconut products. Collector R. Mahesh Kumar promised that the government would provide necessary support for setting up micro, small and medium industries in the region. General Manager of Regional Industrial Center PKP Prasad and other officials were present.
