Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has resumed shooting for his upcoming action film, Sikandarwith enhanced security measures. The actor, who has been the target of threats from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is currently on a month-long shoot in Hyderabad. The production team took extraordinary measures to ensure Khan’s safety, transforming the Palace Hotel where the filming took place into a virtual fortress.

According to “Midday”, a source close to the production revealed, “There are three fixed sets in the play, two of which are in the city, but the main location is the Palace Hotel. Although only part of it was filmed, the production team has ensured access to the entire hotel and grounds, transforming it into a fortress. While guests can book hotel accommodation, they must undergo two levels of inspection, one by the hotel and another by Salman’s security team. Access to the site is controlled. –Only those with prior permission are allowed in and undergo background and identity checks. Staff are also screened daily and have a strict no-transfer policy.
Khan’s security detail is multi-layered, combining government-mandated protection with private security services. The actor was accompanied by a team of 50 to 70 security personnel, including NSG commandos, police and private security personnel. “Salman has a four-tiered security system. This includes private security guards that have been hired and are made up of former paramilitary personnel. In addition, there is a hand-picked team of Salman’s long-time bodyguard Shera, as well as the Hyderabad police and All told, the superstar was surrounded by 50 to 70 security personnel,” the source added.
Upcoming Hyderabad fixtures for Sikandaras it involved shooting two songs starring Khan and his co-star Rashmika Mandanna. The songs are expected to be ambitious musical numbers that showcase the duo’s chemistry and the legendary scale of the film.
Given the high-risk nature of filming and ongoing security threats, the production team did everything they could to ensure a smooth and safe filming process. The top priority remains the well-being of the superstars and crew.
The threats against Salman Khan were related to the blackbuck poaching case, in which the actor was also allegedly involved. Lawrence Bishnoi issued threats against Khan. Following the threats, Mumbai police increased security around Khan’s residence and provided extra security for his public appearances. The government also granted Khan Y-level security, which includes armed police guards.
