U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday named his campaign manager Susan Wells as White House chief of staff, making her the first woman ever to hold such a key position in any administration.
“Suzy will continue to work tirelessly to make America great again. Suzy becomes the first female Chief of Staff in the history of the United States, which is a well-deserved honor. I have no doubt she will make our country proud,” Trump said.
Wiles is the campaign manager for Trump’s highly successful 2024 presidential campaign.
“Susie Wiles helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history and was an integral part of my successful campaigns in 2016 and 2020,” Trump said.
“Suzy was strong, smart, innovative and universally admired and respected,” the president-elect said.
