Reacting to the ongoing disruption in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said, “We have passed a resolution in the Assembly that will force the Center to talk to us. We have made our stand clear to the world .
Reiterating his commitment to the rights and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Abdullah recalled the critical events of August 5, 2019 and called for a unified voice in Parliament to advocate for the interests of the region.
In a public address in Ganderbal, central Kashmir, Abdullah stressed that his government has always stood firm in defending the rights of citizens. “Our position has never been about betrayal,” he asserted. He added that the resolution passed by the Assembly sends an important message to the world, urging the central government to recognize and address the critical concerns of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
