Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has received death threats, prompting a swift response from Mumbai police. Sources revealed that an unidentified person, later identified as Faizan from Raipur in Chhattisgarh, made a threatening call to the Bandra police station demanding Rs 50 lakh.

A case has been registered and investigation is ongoing
A case has been registered at the Bandra police station under Section 506(4) and Section 511 (attempt to commit an offense punishable under Section 506(4)) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Mumbai Police has sent a team to Raipur to investigate the matter. No arrests have been made yet.
Security concerns may have affected SRK’s public appearance on his birthday
This isn’t the first time the superstar has been threatened. Shah Rukh Khan reveals he will receive death threats in 2023 following film’s success Patan and Jawan. Therefore, he got Y+ Security in October 2023. Further speculations suggest that Shah Rukh Khan did not greet fans outside his home Mannat on his birthday due to security concerns. While his team has yet to make any statement or make any claims on the matter, the heightened security highlights the seriousness of the situation.
The police take this matter seriously
Following threats against Shah Rukh Khan’s close Baba Basidiqi and ongoing threats against Salman Khan, Mumbai Police is taking the threat seriously and is working on nabbing the culprits. The investigation is ongoing and further details are awaited.
About upcoming projects
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is expected to return to the big screen next year with King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Siddharth Anand. The film will also star Suhana Khan in a pivotal role while Munjya fame Abhay Verma and Abhishek Bachchan play the main villains.
