Hurun India on Thursday released a ranking of India’s top charities. Shiv Nadar and his family continue to top this year’s list with a massive donation of Rs 2,153 crore, followed by Mukesh Ambani and his family, who gave Rs 407 crore Significant charitable contributions of Rs.In fiscal year 2024, the top 10 individuals on the list donated a total of 4,625 billion rupees, accounting for nearly 53% of the total donations on the list. Krishna Chivukula and Susmita & Subroto Bagchi entered the top ten for the first time, finishing seventh and ninth respectively. Six of the top donors have focused their CSR efforts on education, underscoring their strong commitment to improving quality learning opportunities and supporting education initiatives across India.
The Bajaj family moved up three spots to third with an endowment of Rs 352 crore, a 33% increase over FY23.
