Washington:
President-elect Donald Trump will return to the White House in January accompanied by his family, who played a huge role in his first administration and this year’s campaign.
A closer look reveals the personality of America’s upcoming “First Family”—composed of Trump’s five children and 10 grandchildren from three marriages.
– Donald Trump Jr. –
Trump’s eldest son is an outright dogmatist who promotes Trump’s “Make America Great Again” agenda to his 12 million followers through the X website and his “Triggered” podcast.
The 46-year-old, with his carefully groomed beard, was instrumental in the rise of his friend J.D. Vance from a relatively unknown conservative senator from Ohio to Trump’s running mate.
He has five children, including 17-year-old daughter Kai, with ex-wife Vanessa Trump, who described the Republican leader, labeled a fascist by his former chief of staff, as “just a fascist.” Ordinary grandpa”.
Don Jr. is now married to former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle, who helped the Trump campaign through television interviews.
– Eric Trump –
Eric, 40, is equally committed, supporting his father’s campaign with routine media appearances and speeches at rallies.
Along with Donald Jr., he served as an executive at the Trump Organization, the real estate empire that thrust the 78-year-old Trump into the American public eye.
Eric and his wife, Laura Trump, who has two children together, was named co-chair of the Republican National Committee in March and reportedly laid off dozens of longtime staffers to allow her to follow Trump’s image shapes the Republican Party.
-Ivanka Trump-
Trump’s 43-year-old daughter Ivanka held an ambiguous role as “advisor to the president” during Trump’s first administration, raising concerns of nepotism when she attended global summits such as the G20.
But she has been largely silent during the 2024 campaign, having previously announced plans to prioritize family life with husband Jared Kushner and their three children.
Kushner is also an adviser to the president, and although he does not have extensive experience in the Middle East, people were surprised when Trump put him in charge of brokering peace in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
– Melania Trump –
Melania will regain the symbolic title of “First Lady” – a role she used during Trump’s 2017-2021 presidency to advocate for children’s health care and online safety.
She has kept a relatively low profile since then, but the 54-year-old did break out of cover a few weeks before Tuesday’s election to publish a memoir of the same name.
The book shares her pro-choice stance on abortion — a view that appears to conflict with Trump’s boasts about his role in appointing Supreme Court justices who struck down federal abortion in Roe v. Wade right.
Melania and Trump have a son, 18-year-old Barron, who is studying at New York University.
– Tiffany Trump –
Trump’s fourth child and only child with his second wife Marla Maples, the American actress Marla Maples has been with her father during his presidency and campaign. Keep a low profile.
Tiffany, 31, was one of many supporters who came to New York courthouses this year during Trump’s hush-money trial, which turned him into a convicted felon.
Her husband is Michael Burrows, the son of Lebanese-born billionaire, and the couple are expecting a child.
