The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has shortlisted two to three candidates as potential candidates for each of Delhi’s 70 assembly constituencies, sources said on Friday.
This comes after discussions around the recommendations made by the party cadre at a raishumaari (consultation) event chaired by a state-appointed BJP leader and multiple ongoing investigations at the party’s State Election Commission (SEC) meeting of.
“The SEC held its first meeting yesterday to discuss potential candidates (for each of Delhi’s 70 assembly constituencies). It was led by BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda The core committee is likely to meet on Friday or Saturday,” a source said.

The first list of BIP candidates for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections is likely to be announced by the end of this week or later, according to party insiders.
