An employee of a private pathology laboratory in Malviya Nagar, Bhopal, was arrested on Thursday for allegedly filming a woman in the dressing room of the facility.
The incident occurred as the woman entered the locker room to prepare for an MRI at the center. She found a mobile phone on the ceiling of her dressing room and informed her husband, who called police.
Police reached the center and identified employee Vishal Thakur as the owner of the phone. Police also found offensive videos of another woman on his phone.
Manoj Patwa, in-charge of Arera Hills police station, said the mobile phone has been seized and a case has been registered by Thakur. He was arrested under Section 77 of the Indian Act for secretly watching or spying on a woman and taking photographs or films of her private conduct without her consent.
Police are interrogating the accused to find out if he recorded any other such videos and what he did with them. Patwa said further investigation is on.
