Opposition leader VD Satheesan accused District Administration Minister MB Rajesh of masterminding the police’s midnight raid on the Congress leader’s room on Tuesday. “He orchestrated this farce with the help of his brother-in-law and the support of the core group in the chief minister’s office,” Mr. Satishan said.
Opposition leaders demanded Mr Rajesh’s immediate resignation. “Shame on you Mr. Rajesh. You do not deserve to continue being a minister,” he said.
Satishan said the midnight raids were a conspiracy by the CPI(M) and the BJP to help K. Surendran, the state president of the BJP, who faces the prospect of obtaining black money worth Rs. accusation. 41.40 Crore.
He said the raid and subsequent drama had brought disgrace to the Kerala Police. “They (the police) look like the largest group of slaves,” he said.
Opposition leaders said that if they want the money box, they should visit Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s room at Cliff House and not go to the Congress leader’s room.
