Union Steel and Heavy Industry Minister Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma said on Friday that the 280 Jana Aushadhi Centre (JAC) has opened in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Srinivasa Varma and Collector Ch. Nagarani checked the JAC in Bhimavaram town of West Godavari district and asked about the price. In interactions with locals and officials, Mr Srinivasa Varma claimed that consumers could save nearly 80% of their drug spending by preferring generic drugs.
Ms Nagarani said unemployed youth can apply for permission to open JAC in the area.
The President of BJP State and MP D. Purandeswari opened a Jana Aushadi centre in the village of Hukumpeta in the rural area of Rajamahadravaram.
