Upcoming Mahindra electric SUV: Mahindra & Mahindra has ambitious plans for the electric vehicle (EV) segment. The company has been testing upcoming pure electric models, the first of which is called the Mahindra XUV.e8 and is expected to be launched in December 2024.

While detailed specifications remain under wraps, Mahindra has confirmed that its electric vehicle based on the INGLO platform will be equipped with a 60kWh to 80kWh battery pack and is said to have a range of up to 500 kilometers. The platform supports all-wheel drive (AWD) and rear-wheel drive (RWD) configurations.

Spy photos show that the production version of the XUV.e8 will stay true to its concept design, displaying connected LED daytime running lights (DRL), inverted L-shaped indicators and detached LED headlights. ADAS radar is also installed on the front bumper.

On the inside, the electric SUV will have a three-screen layout, two-spoke steering wheel, wireless charging, power seats, six airbags, TPMS and ESP among other advanced features.

After the XUV.e8, Mahindra plans to launch the XUV 3OO EV, which has been tested many times. The model is expected to share powertrain options with the XUV400 EV, which comes with 34.5kWh and 39.4kWh battery options paired with a single electric motor.

Its driving range is expected to be approximately 375 kilometers to 456 kilometers, depending on the battery capacity. The interior of the XUV 3OO EV is mostly similar to the XUV400, with a black and white interior, copper decoration, floating touch screen and wireless charging.

In terms of design, the electric XUV 3OO will receive noticeable styling updates, including revised fenders and bumpers, redesigned headlights, new two-tone alloy wheels, and a charging port located on the right front fender.
