Jamia Millia Islam (JMI) has released the university prospectus and announced the opening of the academic conference in 2025-26. Starting this academic year, JMI has launched 14 new courses. Up to 25 program admissions – Nine UGs, five PGs, eight diploma programs and three advanced diploma programs will be completed with the General College Entrance Examination (CUET) excellence. JMI said in release of the prospectus that this is a significant improvement over the previous academic conference with 20 plans, which the course has 20 plans during the Cuet admission process.
JMI’s new courses are: Bachelor of Design Degree (BDES) – 4 years; BSC (Honours) Computer Science (4 years); Certificate (Design and Innovation) Self-financing Night; Certificate (Textile Design) Self-financing Night; PG Fire Safety, Lift and Pipeline Service Diploma (Self-funded); Certificate (Graphic Art) (Print Manufacturing) Self-financing Night; MFA (Current Practice) Self-financing; MFA (Art Management) Self-financing; MFA (Concept Art Practice) Self-financing; MFA (Graphic Art) (Print Manufacturing) Self-financing; evening, Certificate (Art & Aesthetics) Self-financing Night; Certificate (Creative Photography) Self-financing Night; Certificate (Calligraphy) Self-financing Night and Certificate (Art Appreciation & Art Writing) Self-financing, at night.
The prospectus was initiated by Vice President Jamia Millia Islamia, Professor Mazhar Asif, along with Registrar JMI, Professor Mahtab Alam Rizvi, in the presence of members of the University’s Prospectus Committee, the JMI statement said.
To attract more foreign students and NRI wards, JMI also reduced the fees for applicants in SAARC countries, and also reduced the fees for diploma programs for foreign nationals/NRI Wards under the University Polytechnic Institute. Two seats in the BDS program (admitted through NEET) have been reserved for foreign students.
Foreign nationals who can now apply for a PhD program at JMI appear online for admission interviews because they find it difficult to obtain a visa and undertake a trip to India to appear in court for admission interviews as part of the admission process requirements.

JMI will conduct up to 29 planned entrance exams in eight cities in the country, including Malegaon and Bhopal.
